I think the deficiencies it has could be compensated for in Blender, that is, I think you could use Blender to lower the poly count, map your first UV, vertex paint, and unwrap a second UV for a mesh made in MD. It will not allow you to weight those meshes how Sims 4 needs the item weighted, it will not allow you to unwrap the second UV that Sims 4 requires, it doesn't seem to do vertex painting that is needed for Sims 4, and it seems that it often creates meshes that have a poly count which is inappropriate for games.
